She recalls her admiration of older members in the house when she went through recruitment and her joy in getting to reciprocate that when she became new member educator her junior year. She said of pledging, "It can be very intimidating at first, but the friends and experiences will always be with you." S Art is a large part of Sarah's life as she represents an international art consultancy that develops art collections for the hospitality and corporate sectors. She says she knew the second she took her first art history class that she wanted to work in the art business. Since graduating, she has worked for a variety of art businesses, including galleries, an auction house, art magazines, an art website, and even in a well-known publishing company's archives. Seeing other Tri Delta sisters be successful in their careers helped to embolden Sarah on her own path. The structure she learned while in the chapter helped her to maintain structure in her professional life. "Tri Delta has given me the foundation to define my goals—both for my career and the type of family I want to have one day," she said. Sarah regrets that she has not been as involved with the chapter or gotten back to the Theta Omega house as much since she moved away from Kansas in 2000. Her pride in the house is still strong. The last time she saw it she was "so impressed with how the house looks. The girls have done a great job!" She is grateful that social media provides a way to connect with her sisters. "We all experienced an important life event together, so we'll always have that connection. It's never too late to reconnect," Sarah said. Sarah married Barry Steele in December 2012. They are looking forward to starting a family soon and enjoy adventurous outdoor activities such as skydiving and scuba diving.
