Theta Omega Makes Strides toward Success (Continued from page 1) ACADEMICS The past semester the women of Theta Omega made impressive strides in their academics. The chapter G.P.A. improved, surpassing the all-Greek average. The chapter also logged over 1,100 hours of studying during the Panhellenic-sponsored spring Study-a-Thon, the most of any chapter on campus. Although early in the semester, the women have already shown dedication to their academics through study hours and attendance at a Tri Delta academic workshop addressing the issue of time management.  PHILANTHROPY In the spring Theta Omega brought back the national philanthropy event DHOP (Delta House of Pancakes). This pancake feed brought in members of the KU Greek community, Tri Delta alumnae, and families around Lawrence. We even were visited by a few Sporting Kansas City soccer players. We are so honored to announce that Theta Omega Chapter raised over $35,000 for St. Jude last year. What a number! semester. Turning in over 1,640 community service hours, we finished in great standings within the Greek community of KU. Members completed a variety of service activities as a chapter, including an afternoon of making and delivering Easter cards to the homeless as well as participating in board game days at a local retirement home. As we begin another exciting semester at the big yellow house, I want to take this time to thank all those who have contributed to Theta Omega's success. Through your time, donations, and well wishes, we are making strides in improving our chapter. As slating season comes upon us, the officers, chapter, and I are taking the time to reflect on what Tri Delta means to us, and we want to thank you for being a part of it. Please feel free to drop by the house day or night—our door is always open! We are excited to begin another semester at 1630 Oxford Road, and plan to make this one better than ever! CAMPUS ACTIVITIES For the 2012-13 school year the chapter participated in many exciting and engaging service activities. Our main projects included: Natural Ties, Adopt-A-School, and volunteering at the Lawrence Humane Society.
