We did our best to take into consideration all of the women you recommended. he spring and summer flew by at Xi Chapter! We have been going through many positive changes and are so excited to welcome the new members this fall. We continue to raise our chapter G.P.A. by seeking new academic heights, as well as continuing to expand our philanthropic ventures. T This year Vice President of Intellectual Development Payton Gaines '11 implemented a proctored study hours system to help women with their study habits. The required hours per week for each member correlated to their G.P.A. from the previous semester. "I am so proud of the strides the chapter has made in improving academics! We set goals at the beginning of our term, and although they were steep, the chapter met them. We are excited to continue this trend," says Peyton. We are so proud that we raised our chapter total G.P.A. by two-tenths. We will continue our efforts until we hold the highest overall G.P.A. on UNL's campus. Additionally, Xi Chapter is excited and proud that Vice President of Risk Management Molly DiGiacinto '11 and Vice President of Philanthropy Allie Nebbia '11 have paired up with Panhellenic sisters Delta Delta Delta sorority to invite Kristin's Story to the University of Nebraska. Kristin's Story is a Sophomores Lauren Koll '12, Melody Claus '12, and Marisa Cushing '12 pose with football star Kenny Bell at our spring philanthropy. program that raises awareness about domestic violence, suicide, and depression. We are lucky to have the opportunity to welcome this program to our campus. We are currently working on fundraising efforts to fund the event on October 28 at 7 p.m. We would love local alumnae to join us in this amazing opportunity. For details, please contact me. This fall we will welcome the national program— Alcohol Skills Training Program. We are excited to bring a program to help women make healthy choices about alcohol consumption, and really open up the discussion for real and honest conversation. I am so proud of the accomplishments Xi Chapter has had in the past few months, and I can't wait to enlighten you all on future achievements. We have such a busy fall planned and are so excited to be back at the chapter house. Please don't hesitate to ever stop by the chapter house or any of our chapter events; we would love to see all of our sisters. The Collegiate Recruitment Informational Board (CRIB) worked so hard this summer, and we appreciated all of the recommendations that were sent in by many sisters. We were excited to meet all of your legacies, honoraries, and friends during fall formal recruitment!
