The appearance of the house has been much improved by the removal of overgrown trees, addition of lava rock, and a fresh coat of paint on the basketball court. Brothers attend Leadership Academy We were fortunate to send eight of our chapter leaders to Balfour Leadership Academy this summer. They are applying the leadership-based approach to their respective positions by involving younger members in the planning and execution of our chapter goals. Intramural Chairman Matt Mravunac '14 was honored as the all–Greek Intramural Chairman of the Year for his dedication to maximizing involvement. Recruitment a Success Our recruitment success has resulted in 22 new members who will be the first class from our chapter to learn our Sigma Chi curriculum through the online platform that has been implemented by headquarters. We are excited for these new brothers to learn about Sigma Chi. Undergraduates focus on Social Media Advancement Led by Tribune Jordan Roith '14, the chapter is making a push to connect with our alumni brothers through social media. All alumni brothers are strongly encouraged to reach out to either Jordan or me so that communications regarding Chapter accomplishments and alumni involvement can be effectively delivered. chapter focuses on Academics We continue to be optimistic that our chapterwide emphasis on academics will advance us in the Interfraternity Council rankings of academic excellence. Chapter Advisor Andy Carson '93 is working with us to reach our academic goals by holding meetings to teach members about effective prioritization, timemanagement principles, and general organization. Delta Upsilon thankful for alumni We would like to give special thanks to Derrick Rieke '01 for his continued support and help with ordering the new closets and desks to meet our rising member count. We are also very appreciative of the alumni that give of their time and talent to support the chapter. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns.
