THE CAMPAIGN FOR DELTA CHI: ENSURING OUR FUTURE CONSTRUCTION HAS BEGUN! I Your Dollars Are Needed to Ensure a Successful Campaign n May, construction started on the expansion of your Delta Chi Chapter house. Thanks to an outpouring of support from our brothers and friends, The Campaign for Delta Chi: Ensuring Our Future has raised more than $838,000 from 90 donors. On August 24, over 100 alumni, undergraduates, and guests gathered in Birmingham for the 2013 Delta Chi Alumni Dinner. All in attendance had a great time reconnecting, reminiscing, and discussing what is in store for the future of the Chapter. In order for the Alabama Chapter to continue its success, it is imperative that we have the continued support of our alumni during this significant period of the campaign. We realize that even though the physical work has started, the fundraising work is far from over. This historic project will give Delta Chi the opportunity to continue being a viable and influential fraternity at the University of Alabama for generations. Our undergraduate class stands strong with 92 members, and is in the process of recruiting more than 40 young men who exhibit Delta Chi's traditions and values. It is imperative that we as alumni give current and future brothers the opportunity to have the same experiences we did as undergraduates. The undergraduate Chapter has set the bar by increasing their already generous pledge to $150,000. It is time for all alumni to step up to the plate and do our part. The house will be ready for occupancy in August of 2014. If you have not yet made your pledge, now is the time. I urge you to support the campaign today. These improvements to our house are essential and will give current and future members a facility that will not only boost morale, but will also attract quality men who will continue our legacy at the Capstone. The campaign committee would like to thank everyone supporting The Campaign for Delta Chi: Ensuring Our Future. We invite those who have not yet committed to the campaign to make your pledge today. Please do your part, regardless of your financial ability. Your support, large or small, is important so we can have 100% participation from our alumni. Reaching our campaign goal is both our responsibility and an honor. Help us ensure a lasting Delta Chi legacy at the University of Alabama. Please give generously. "I was from Connecticut and far from home. I went out for recruitment and after meeting the brothers in Delta Chi, I knew I wanted to be a part of that brotherhood. It was a fantastic group of guys who made me feel welcome." After initiation, Chris held many offices in the Chapter, including recording secretary, vice president, and president his senior year. "Delta Chi gave me a sense of involvement and a place to belong as I settled into college life. I really liked the diversity in our Chapter and the brotherhood we all shared. In my senior year, being elected president by my brothers was truly something special," he said. Now the president of a designer jewelry company, LAGOS, Chris is in charge of all front-end activities involving sales, marketing, and channel distribution.
