This workshop is free and open to the public. Please join us and bring your questions. COALITION MEETS OCT. 21 The Quartzsite Community Prevention Coalition will meet on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 10am at the Fire Station. Please join us for our discussion of upcom- ing events and help in our fight against substance abuse. QUARTZSITE COMMUNITY PREVENTION at the Q Check Shell Station, Sat. Oct. 23 at 7pm. Cruise Night started during the summer and continues every other Saturday night for folks to gether and check out the classic and antique ve- hicles. There’s specials on hot dogs, CRUISE IN SAT. CENTENNIAL MEETING OCT. 25TH, 7PM Quartzsite - The Arizona Centennial Committee of Quartzsite will hold it’s second meeting in cooperation with the Quartzsite Business Chamber of Commerce. The meeting is open to the public to plan the Centennial Year long events. Churches, organizations, schools, clubs, businesses, individuals are all invited on Monday, Oct. 25th at 7pm at the QIA. Please bring your club’s event calendar to share. The goal of these meetings is to help our signature events and organizations coordinate their events and bring any new events to the table. We want to know what events will be taking place in the upcoming year so there aren’t any scheduling conflicts and to have an accurate calendar to market. The Centennial celebrational year kicks off at the ATV Parade on Febru- ary 12, 2011 and runs through the fina- le on February 14, 2012. There are lots of new events planned and Quartzsite needs your help to make this a suc- cessful year of fun! There are no public funds for the Centennial, at the state level or local els, so it’s up to local communities to make it happen. Please join us on Mon. AWC OPEN HOUSE FRI. NOV 5 Arizona Western College invites you to join us for our OpenHouse event at Quartzsite Learning Center, 695 N. Kofa Av. on Friday, Nov. 5, 3-7pm. Hosting a free barbeque for the public and numerous departments from Stu- dent Services from Yuma will be pres- ent. If your organization would like to set up an informational table at this event, please let us know by contacting Kimberly or Eileen at 928-927-8299. O������ 20, 2010 awards ceremony to honor the efforts of our local public safety personnel. The dinner will take place at the Fire Station on Sunday, November 7 start- ing at 5 p.m. with a slide show. Dinner will follow at 6 p.m. This event will include the Quartz- PUBLIC SAFETY APPRECIATION DINNER NOV. 7 There will be a special dinner and site Fire and Police Dept., Search and Rescue, and other agenciesl who serve out community. Please come out and show your support for these men and women who put their lives at risk to help our town and the people in it!! ARIZONA SUNRIDERS ATV CLUB Our regularly scheduled meetings our next meeting! The Executive Board will meet at 9 am. We have lots of new and exciting news for the membership and the community as we will be meet- ing with the State and local BLM Offic- es to discuss and hopefully implement our Trail Proposal Plan. We have asked for and received the support of the Towns of Quartzsite and Parker City Councils and the La Paz County Board of Supervisors. Dis- trict 3 Supervisor Holly Irwin is now leading this Trail Proposal Plan. We are ready to go and look for an exciting year for the community and ATV Rid- ers in the Area.
