SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING The annual alumni meeting was held on August 16, 2025. The board elected three *new members, and two existing members were elected to †new terms. The entire board (with term end-dates) can be seen below. Note that the board currently has two open vacancies. If you are interested in joining the board, you do not need to wait until the next annual meeting. Procedures exist to add people between annual meetings. Financially, we had a ~$28,000 cashflow deficit in our operating budget driven by reduced number of live-ins (27/33 last year; breakeven is ~30). In fall 2025, we will have a full chapter house (33), allowing us to replenish the coffers for larger future expenses. Looking forward, we will increase rent (to combat inflation), work on reducing repair costs, and continue working with the undergraduates to maintain high levels of occupancy. We also reviewed the progress on the 2030 goals set in 2019 at the PENSOC retreat. Over the past year, we have seen great progress toward many of the milestones: • 20-30 new undergraduates every year. The chapter has had back- to-back years of 20 or more new members. • Have at least 80 undergraduate members. 83 total this past year! • Have a full house at all times. As of fall 2025, we have reached this for the first time since the renovation! We will hand out 2026-27 leases during move-in as the first step of repeating this feat. Meeting the rest of the goals will require better engagement with alumni, including updating/restoring contact information, increasing event participation, better planning for board succession, and sustaining the undergraduate chapter's success. FOUNDATION UPDATE The Peninsular Foundation of Alpha Delta Phi is a 501(c)(3) organization providing philanthropic support for the fraternity. This support includes working with the University of Michigan endowment team offering the Alan D. Groom, John P. Hartwig, and Tom Fiedler scholarships awarded to Alpha Delt undergraduates each year. The Foundation also provides financial support for the educational areas of the fraternity through the Daniel J. Carlson fund. Current board members are John Sirrine '68, Dan Gentges '85, Robert Same '67, Matt Heckler '04, Max Barack '10, and Art Nicholas '85. We are looking to expand our scholarship support as well as sponsor an educational event in the coming year. We also are looking to add additional board members to the Foundation. If you are interested in helping/contributing in any way, please contact Art Nicholas at asnicholasjr@gmail.com.
