SIGMA CHI FRATERNITY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA | EST. 1876 FALL 2025 T he Iota Iota House Corporation continues to oversee the chapter facilities, and we are all set for another great year for 2025-26. This summer saw some improvements to the band room with additional stage platforms and portable crowd-control safety barriers for use there as well as in the courtyard and front yard during events. We also painted and repaired items on the front porch and in the courtyard in addition to working on window frames and door trim. Resurfacing and staining the front porch concrete walkway area was also included in the annual preventative maintenance projects. We are working with a well-respected interior designer for updates to the ladies' room and the addition of Turkish area rugs in the study and foyer. We have again extended the dining room services contract with Upper Crust Food Service and continue to receive positive feedback from our members as well as guests who have enjoyed a meal at the house while visiting. We recently upgraded our commercial-grade refrigerator-freezer combo to assist our kitchen staff. This has been widely communicated, but I want to yet again congratulate Brothers Eddie Lumpkin '74 and David Kiger '85 on their designation as Significant Sigs at Grand Chapter this summer in Denver. As of this printing, we don't have any other major initiatives planned but will continue to follow the invaluable advice of House Director Mrs. Rhae Nix, as always. I will say it again: the smooth operations at the house would not be as "smooth" without her dedicated efforts. In hoc, Will Yeldell '86 IIHC President wyeldell@me.com Garrett Walker '28 and Nelson Leithead '28 accept the Peterson Award with Grand Consul Ryan Timbe and International Sweetheart Kenzie Loomis. Connor Hux '26 is joined by Will Yeldell '86, Significant Sig Eddie Lumpkin '74, Bill Stiers '86, Chapter Advisor Bob Loftin '79, and Dan Fugazzi '85 at Grand Chapter in Denver, Colorado.
