During Derby Days, we raised a record- breaking $50,000—setting a new chapter benchmark and ranking us 28th internationally among Sigma Chi chapters. This tremendous accomplishment not only reflects our commitment to service but also earned Samuel and Nelson Leithead '28 invitations to the prestigious Huntsman Retreat of Excellence. At the retreat, they toured the Huntsman Cancer Institute and connected with staff, brothers, and sweethearts who are united behind this life-changing cause. In addition to our philanthropic success, we demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability. Our chapter won the IFC Recycling Competition by recycling 821 pounds in a single month, the most of any participating fraternity. As a reward, our chapter received a private tour of Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium—an exciting and well-earned experience. Academically, we continued to improve, raising our chapter GPA to 3.39. This placed us sixth among all IFC fraternities and highlights our dedication to academic excellence alongside our other pursuits. As Consul, I represented Iota Iota Chapter at Sigma Chi's Grand Chapter in Denver, Colorado, from June 26-29. While there, I had the opportunity to network with international officers and Iota Iota alumni, helping to strengthen the ties between our undergraduate members and our alumni community. This summer, we also sent two brothers— Garrett Walker '28 and Nelson Leithead—to the Krach Transformational Leaders Workshop, Sigma Chi's premier leadership development event. While there, our chapter was honored with the J. Dwight Peterson Significant Chapter Award, the highest distinction a chapter can earn. This award recognizes excellence in academics, philanthropy, recruitment, leadership, and adherence to Sigma Chi's values and rituals. As we look ahead, we are incredibly proud of what we've accomplished and excited to continue building on this momentum. These achievements are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and brotherhood that define our chapter and the values we strive to uphold every day.
