I
owa Delta Chapter enjoyed plenty of success this
spring. Starting in March, we held our annual
Queen of Hearts volleyball tournament to raise
money for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. We
hold this partnership close to our hearts, as we have
had several brothers struggle from this. Our faculty
fellow, Tom Buckmiller, came to the house with his
band to play and raise money as well. I'm pleased
to share that we raised more than $2,000 this
semester.
Academic Progress
Not only did we rock it in philanthropy, but we killed
it in academics as well. We had 18 members on the
president's list and 24 on the dean's list. I am very
proud of our brothers for this accomplishment.
Iowa Delta had the highest GPA of all fraternities for
the third-consecutive year and earned our fourth-
straight Chapter of the Year award. This crowns us on
top of Drake's fraternities yet again. It sounds like a
lot of work, but we had our fair share of fun as well.
Fraternal Development
We were lucky to have two brothers attend the Ruck
Leadership Institute, where they learned how to
better themselves as leaders so our Chapter grows
to where we need to be in the years to come. We
also attended the Grand Chapter Conclave, where
Iowa Delta won our sixth-consecutive Buchanan Cup.
Iowa Delta Chapter has been busy working hard and
having fun, and we brought home the hardware to
prove it.
Fraternally,
