T H E L Y R E L E T T E R | P A G E 2 T he spring semester was full of amazing events, from sisterhoods to fun rewards for our women for their academic efforts! Everyone's favorite sisterhood was Urban Air. It was a great way to get out and about with all our amazing members. Academic Activities Academic Activities We put our new study chairs to great use this semester! The women spent a great deal of their study time downstairs and couldn't be happier about the addition. Xi Chapter hosted a coffee truck for members with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. We also had Dad's Day announcements for honor women, and sisters enjoyed fun study dates to maintain academic motivation. For finals week, we provided members with all the highlighters, sticky notes, snacks, and extended quiet hours they needed to help them do their best! We are upping our support for academics next fall by beefing up our Guardian Angels program to help women just entering college connect with others to help them through their colleges (i.e., College of Journalism and Mass Communication, College of Arts and Sciences, etc.). Sisterhoods Sisterhoods Beyond the Urban Air trampoline park, Xi Chapter members also enjoyed a clothing swap sisterhood for Earth Day. VP of Membership Programming Molly McGill '23 and VP of DEI Haylee Wang '23 coordinated the event, and all the extra clothes went to women's shelters. Our Orange Theory sisterhoods were also a highlight of the semester! Philanthropy Philanthropy Progress Progress We had two major philanthropies this year: Chi Hop (AXO and Sigma Chi), where we served pancakes and sausages with loads of toppings for people to choose from, and Wisdom With Wings with Pi Beta Phi, where we served mac and cheese, wings, and cookies in an effort to collaborate with more chapters in and outside of our council. We raised almost $12,000 between the two events! Xi Chapter partnered with Boys Town to provide prom dresses and shoes for women who might not otherwise have access to them. It was an amazing experience that we plan on continuing with Homecoming dresses and shoes this fall and spring 2026. We donated long and midi dresses of all sizes and shoes for women to try on, and we cannot wait to give even more in the fall. We plan on getting every Greek organization involved in the coming semesters to grow the project. We also did a SAAM tabling event at the city union to educate people on SAAM and promote support for survivors, and spent time passing out flowers with information on Denim Day. Membership Updates Membership Updates We had an amazing spring Bid Day! It was London-themed and full of adorable moments. Spring initiation was a lovely experience as always, and the chapter can't wait for the fall to grow even more! Our seniors soaked in their last moments as active members during senior week. They enjoyed multiple bonding events like a senior picnic and yoga, and they eagerly awaited the Hall of Commitment. Hard at Work So many of our women are working hard to get ahead, with many having internships or working part-time while balancing school and chapter events. Multiple sisters are going into their second or third year of college with good experience under their belt for long-term success in their fields.
