Delta Psi Chapter of Sigma Chi at RPI SIGMACHIRPI.ORG Pinewoods Educational Foundation pinewoodsfoundation.org DELTA PSI CHAPTER OF SIGMA CHI FRATERNITY AT RPI I n February, a position opened up on the Board of Directors of the Sigma Chi Leadership Institute. After being nominated by Grand Praetor James Heffner, who is also a SCLI board member, Delta Psi's previous Consul, Ryan Ing '25, was elected to the position. With only a few hours' notice, he flew to Headquarters in Evanston, Illinois, for his first meeting with the board, where he impressed the other members so much that it was decided to appoint him to an additional term! Ryan, who graduated May 10, will be attending grad school at RPI in the fall and will be the Delta Psi Live-In Advisor for the upcoming academic year. Just a few weeks ago, Ryan was also honored by RPI, receiving the Ajay Kumar Alaviya Award recognizing his unique blend of academic excellence and leadership. By John "Leroy" Pfaff '71 | johnpfaff3@gmail.com Ryan Ing '25 Elected to SCLI Board Ryan has stated that joining Sigma Chi has completely changed his outlook on leadership, and he is looking forward to having an impact on SCLI by working in the following areas: • Developing a new marketing strategy for the Transformational Leadership Programs at Sigma Chi. • Rebuilding the Officer Training Academy, an online training for newly elected chapter Executive Committee members. • Reevaluating Preparation 4 Brotherhood (P4B) guidelines to ensure Sigma Chi values remain front and center during the pledging process. • Strengthening ACORN, the business side of SCLI, by increasing revenue through leadership training at universities and outside businesses in order to fund SCLI's other programs. • Emphasizing the opportunities the Leadership Certificate curriculum brings to student development, allowing undergraduates to earn elective credits at their schools.
