STANFORD UNIVERSITY SUMMER 2025 Updates from California Pi Help Us Keep This Newsletter! Donate Today to Keep Getting California Pi Updates W e need your help to keep this newsletter program up and running! The costs to create, print, and mail newsletters to our alumni base have outpaced our fundraising efforts to date, and we have mostly depleted our alumni board bank account to keep the updates flowing over the past few years. We are now at risk of having to wind down the program due to a lack of funds. If you have enjoyed receiving regular chapter and alumni updates, we hope you will consider donating to keep this program funded. We typically spend $2,500 a year generating and mailing out newsletters; if we were to get $50 donations from just 50 of our over 800 living chapter alumni, we'd be covered for another year. If you would like to donate, please do so at donorbox.org/spe-cal-pi-spring-donors. Anything we receive beyond newsletter needs will be allocated to chapter scholarships as well as to help the chapter purchase items to augment their house, such as weights for their weight room and gardening equipment for their newly fenced-in backyard. In other news, the chapter continues to thrive! Spring recruitment recently wrapped up, and it was another strong year: SigEp welcomed 33 new men, bringing total membership to 117 and once again placing it among the top chapters on campus in terms of manpower and academic performance. The undergraduates also recently submitted a Buchanan Cup application for this summer's 59th Grand Chapter Conclave in Tampa. If you would like to keep up with the chapter between newsletters, please check out their Instagram feed at @stanford.sigep. Sigma Phi Epsilon's California Pi Chapter had an amazing spring! D uring our successful recruitment, we were happy to welcome 33 new members to the organization, who are progressing through the Balanced Man Program. We've held two very successful philanthropy events this quarter—a casino night and a charity race—which have raised over $1,000 for the Ronald McDonald House. Additionally, members have been involved in prominent Stanford organizations like FashionX, the Stanford Political Union, the Dorm Room Fund, and the Society of LatinX Engineers. We've also continued to host our weekly study nights to provide a space for members' academic priorities. In the coming months, the chapter will attend Conclave and apply to extend its term living in a Stanford House. We are also proud of all our graduating seniors and thankful for their contributions to SigEp. We are glad that we were able to send them off at Burning Heart, where they had the chance to share the meaning and values of SigEp with current and new members. We want to extend special congratulations to Thomas Yim '25, Kapil Dheeriya '25, and Shiley Einav '25, who are graduating this spring with Phi Beta Kappa honors.
