Page 3 O ur bond as SigEp brothers extends beyond our undergraduate years. The experiences and values we gained at Washington Alpha shaped who we are, and giving back ensures that future generations of brothers will benefit as we did. There are many ways to support Washington Alpha, allowing you to contribute at a level that fits your time and commitment. Give Back to Washington Alpha YOUR IMPACT, OUR FUTURE T his past year has been one to remember for Washington Alpha. From growing our brotherhood and strengthening our campus presence to deepening our commitment to service and tradition, the Chapter continues to thrive in Pullman. Memorial Golf Tournament One of the year's highlights was hosting the first-ever Ross Tello Memorial Golf Tournament at Palouse. More than 60 participants came out to honor Ross Tello '24, and thanks to incredible support, we raised $5,000, split between the Footprints of Fight Foundation and our Chapter. We're already aiming for 120 participants next year, so alumni, stay tuned and plan to join us! Growing Our Numbers Recruitment remains a major strength, with 38 new members signed and a 95% retention rate. Our Chapter stands 100 strong, and while WSU Greek life has seen declines, we continue to adapt and aim to grow back to 120 members. We are proud to have given out the fewest bids and hold the highest acceptance rate of any fraternity on campus. Community Activities Leadership has thrived this year. Jeffery Myers '25 helped plan more than 30 campus events with WSU Student Entertainment. Owen Watkins '25 performed a full DJ set on campus, and Bryce Pennock '25 and John Englander '25 completed ASWSU Senate terms. Continuing our tradition in student government, Parker Fouts '26 and Reed Scott '27 were elected to serve as senators next year. Service and community involvement were strong. We sang at the Downtown Pullman Caroling Ceremony, and our philanthropy expanded with a 3-on-3 basketball tournament co-hosted with Kappa Kappa Gamma, featuring players from the WSU basketball team. Brotherhood Another thing that's been meaningful is the new Bible study some of our brothers started on Wednesday nights. It's grown to over 15 guys regularly attending, and it's been a great way for brothers to connect on a deeper level and grow together spiritually. Brotherhood remains the heartbeat of everything we do. From our August rafting trip in Riggins to Flying Squirrel in December and a packed student section at the Gonzaga basketball game, we've made countless memories. We wrapped the year with an unforgettable spring formal in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. As summer begins, we thank everyone supporting our Chapter through donations, mentorship, events, and encouragement. The legacy you've built continues to guide us. HFF, Reed Scott '27 Chapter President Washington Alpha Momentum Continues Looking Back, Moving Forward T his February, our eight executive officers had the incredible opportunity to attend the Carlson Leadership Academy in Oklahoma City, a two-day leadership experience designed specifically for newly elected officers. The event united brothers from across the region, offering a valuable space to connect, collaborate, and sharpen our leadership skills. Over the weekend, each member participated in officer-specific training sessions, exchanged ideas with peers from other Chapters, and gained insights into best practices that will help us thrive as a team. More than anything, Carlson reinforced the importance of leaving a legacy within our Chapter and throughout the broader SigEp community. We returned feeling inspired, confident, and ready to implement fresh strategies that will continue to drive our Chapter forward. The executive team traveled over 3,000 miles round-trip from Spokane to attend CLA in Oklahoma City, strengthening their leadership skills and brotherhood along the way. Carlson Leadership Academy Recap EMPOWERING LEADERS A packed student section reps Washington Alpha at the Gonzaga game. SigEp pride was on full display during one of the most electric nights of the semester. This year's Carlson Leadership Academy attendees included Luke Reid '27, Vincent Scalzo '27, Parker Fouts '26, Cooper Reynolds '27, David Payne '27, Reed Scott '27, Brodie Avalon '27, and Trevor Shoults '27.
