Lambda Alumnus WINS RISING STAR AWARD at CFANS Borealis Night of Excellence E ric Houdek #1746 and his wife, Gabriella, were awarded the Rising Star Award at the CFANS Borealis Night of Excellence on April 17. Eric graduated with a bachelor's in animal science in 2016 and a master's, focusing on dairy cattle genetics, in animal science in 2019. Eric has continued to stay involved with university programs after graduation and serves as one of the coaches for the University of Minnesota's highly successful dairy judging team. Andreasen #753 shares, "Many Korean vets like myself wanted to have fun while in college. I used Ed Pavek #767 as my veterinarian for my Irish Setter dogs [before he passed]." "I'm currently working with my granddaughter and her husband in the business. I also co-founded the Miracle of Birth Center at the Minnesota State Fair and am currently volunteering after 22 years as co- chairman." Florian lives in Alexandria, Minn. "Alaska Outdoor Council is a pro-science-based resource management advocate of fishing, hunting, trapping, and other outdoor activities that advocates state management of resident fish and game.
