Delta Upsilon 4 T his semester has been a testament to the strength, resilience, and dedication of our fraternity. As we look back on our achievements, we recognize the collective effort that has propelled us forward. Delta Upsilon continues to thrive, and I am excited for what lies ahead as we build upon this momentum. Our biggest change has been led by Jackson Simon '27, who recruited 30 stellar guys in the Sigma (i.e. spring of 2025) pledge class. This was a very competitive recruitment, and Jackson's diligence and innovation brought this remarkable group of studs into the house. James Moore '26 will be the guide for these associate members on their path to brotherhood. Bouncing off that, Housing Manager Nate Kerr '27 worked closely with Mark "Minty" Linnan '85 to make 721 Comstock Avenue a home. Recent additions feature a pool table, a foosball table, and a massive conference room table that has seen frequent use as a study table. Greg Carlton '27 and Gavin Forte '27 spent much of their winter break on the Chapter Excellence Plan. Greg worked on it from Ohio, while Gavin was submitting documents from vacation in Africa! True dedication from both of them. Matt Jerchower '26 skillfully managed our finances, ensuring our chapter's sustainability and enabling us to host impactful events. VP of Risk Management Jacob Nelson '27 has been the man to go to whenever something comes up. His composure, positive outlook, and friendly demeanor have made him perfect in his role. He works closely with Riley Crawford '27 to ensure our brotherhood is moving forward. Riley deserves his thanks, too, since he's been working hard to provide better dining options for the guys. Thanks, Riley! Outside of the house, the chapter has been extremely active. VP of External Relations Darren Murphy '27 collaborated with Social Chairmen Jobe Hause '26, Blaze Jones '27, and Keller Waldren '27 as well as Philanthropy Chairman Ellis Cowan '27 to successfully run V-DΔY, a charity concert to raise money for the Children's Heart Foundation, which sponsors research for congenital heart diseases. This event went great with Red Bull sponsoring and over 1,400 people attending. The brothers are making a concerted effort to step up in the Greek community by participating in other houses' philanthropies. For example, this spring we participated in the Hendricks Cup challenge, an inter-Greek food drive competition, which our brothers took very seriously. Speaking of stepping up, big congratulations to Zach Weiss '26 for securing a spot on the Interfraternity Council as the 2025-26 vice president! As we close out this semester, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible strides we have made together. The leadership, camaraderie, and dedication shown by our brothers have solidified our place as one of the strongest fraternities on campus. Looking ahead, I am confident that Delta Upsilon will continue to build on this success, fostering an even stronger brotherhood and leaving a lasting impact on Syracuse University. Fraternally, Ness Damania '27 Chapter President nddamania@syr.edu (630) 945-2135 Over the weekend of February 21, brothers (from left) Riley Crawford '27, Lincoln Wilson '27, Neil Verma '26, and Darren Murphy '27 attended the Regional Leadership Academy in Chicago. These guys had a blast representing Syracuse and working with staff from DU International Headquarters and undergraduates from other chapters through workshops and focus sessions to create plans to be better brothers and a better chapter! The chapter rehearses for V-DΔY, the charity concert. Despite being in the middle of February, this event was run outside with a tent, including a full stage and production. This was one of our most successful philanthropy events, and we look forward to improving on it. Presidential Points • Functioning as a Team
