Spring 2025 INSIDE: Welcoming Our New House Director p. 2 • Alumnae News p. 2-3 • Alumnae Podcast Launch p. 4 Anchored In Delta Gamma at the University of Kansas A fter years of heartfelt service, unwavering support, and late-night chats (plus, let's be honest—keeping the house actually running), our beloved and magical house director, Mom Steph, is retiring this July. If you've ever laughed in the kitchen, cried on the couch, or found comfort in a warm 'Mom Steph hug,' then you know the magic we're talking about. She didn't just work at 1015 Emery—she became one of us. Literally. She joined our sisterhood and has been a guiding light for countless Beta Kappas through the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Now it's our turn to give something back. We're collecting notes, stories, photos, and heartfelt tributes to honor Mom Steph's legacy, and we need your help. Whether you were a resident during her time or simply felt her impact during a visit or event, your memories matter. Please send your messages to bkdeltagamma@gmail.com with the subject line "Mom Steph." Let's flood her farewell with the same love she's shown us all these years. ITB, Beta Kappa House Corporation Board and Alumnae Team Mom Steph: A Legend, Sister, and Forever DG Help Us Honor Her Legacy Mom Steph with former house manager Lauren Distler '22. W e're thrilled at how fantastic the new formal living room looks. The interiors are truly beautiful, and the women love the colors and overall aesthetic. It feels modern, polished, and super cool. Fantastic work from Raegan Ford to make the vision and our budget come to life! We're working to add another couch opposite the new one and to potentially incorporate additional seating in the corners, as the women want to use the room more. There will be more to come in the months ahead. Timeline for Interior Work We have developed a focused strategic plan for the house with multiple phases of interior redesign we've already started on. There will continue to be space upgrades. Those aren't just "dreams"—they are active projects in the tube room, the formal living room, and our front hallway. Currently, we are working on designing the updates to the upstairs and dining room and exploring simple strategies to improve our accessibility for all. Phase 1 – Project completed and installed!
