5 Ashley Perez-Gonzalez University of Kansas – Computer Engineering Ashley joined my advising group in ninth grade. I quickly discovered her tremendous artistic skills. Since then, I always look forward to seeing what she creates, and if there were an award for creative and skilled knitter, it would be Ashley—she is amazing with a pair of knitting needles. Next year, we will miss this senior who is the cornerstone of our advising group, but I know she is off to a great adventure! Truman has demonstrated what it means to dive deep into a community. She shows sincere interest in the lives of others and has been a rock for her fellow advisees. Jaden does not need the spotlight—he shines it on others. He loves to be with people he cares about, and it's rare to find someone who loves the journey more than the destination. D uring spring break, our chamber choir was invited to sing at the historic venue, Carnegie Hall, and 12 of our students traveled to New York City for an incredible performance opportunity. Margie Lawrence and the students rehearsed at the Aaron Copeland School of Music, took tours of the city, and shared special experiences of the Big Apple for Seabury's first-ever trip to Carnegie!
