6 Alumni Notes Bani Singh '05 graduated from St. John's College with a Bachelor of Arts and is a nurse practitioner. She and her husband, Joe, live in Connecticut and have a daughter and an old dog named Bill. Her favorite Seabury memory was running cross-country on the old country roads with Mr. Heckman following the team in his car with a loudspeaker. Amanda Look Sarmiento '05 graduated from Knox College with degrees in anthropology and sociology and an English minor. Amanda, her husband Michael, and their two children, Henry (5) and Lucie (4), are currently living in Qatar with plans to move back to the U.S. She has been working for Georgetown University in Qatar, planning events, developing programs, and overseeing special projects in higher education. She says that there are too many favorite Seabury memories to list! Blake Phipps '06 is a physician in Lawrence, Kansas, and is on the Bishop Seabury Academy Board of Trustees. He is married to Ashley, and they have 3-year-old twin boys. Ashley Woolsey Zeller '06 is a national mortgage lender at Bank Midwest in Lawrence, Kansas, and was ranked in 2023 and 2024 as the No. 1 unit producer in the mortgage department. Her husband, SFC Kyle, recently headed overseas for an 11-month deployment as a squad leader with the 443 Transportation Company. Ashley serves as the Seabury Alumni Association president on the Board of Trustees. Pete Esau '10 married Aaron Hepps on December 18, 2024. Pete is a flight attendant and received a B.S. in exercise science from Truman State University and an M.S. in exercise physiology from Kansas State University. His favorite Seabury memory was Latin class. Pete and Aaron have a dog and two cats and live in Chicago. Jungwon Seo '10 is an assistant professor in the Department of Software Engineering at Jeonbuk National University in South Korea. Jungwon received a degree in management information systems from SUNY Buffalo State University and an M.S. and Ph.D. in computer science and engineering from Sogang University in South Korea. Jungwon is engaged and has a Maltipoo named Peanut (Instagram: peanut_ mpompom). Jake Rack '20 received certification from Peaslee Tech in carpentry and lives in Lawrence, Kansas. Oona Nelson '23 will be starting nursing school at the Colorado University College of Nursing in August 2025 to receive her RN after completing the five-semester/ two-year program. Her favorite Seabury memory is the senior trip to Florida! Sage McHenry '24 is attending Washington University in St. Louis and is majoring in English and political science. She works as a student ambassador/ tour guide during the school year and as a teaching intern at Choate Rosemary Hall this summer. Her favorite Seabury memory is Renaissance Day, of course!
