PAUL LANDINO '76 WITH A BLAST FROM THE PAST "It never gets old looking at old pictures. In fact, it seems the older you get, the more interesting and stimulating they become. Let's all share, Brothers strong! Here is a pic of JD Cattel '69 and me after meeting up for dinner in St. Petersburg in September 2023. I think we both have aged well after being business owners." JD CAT TEL '69 SHARES A CHILDHOOD STORY "On December 2, 1962, 62 years ago, I appeared on Community Auditions on Channel 4 WBZ TV Boston. Gene Jones was the host and Dave Maynard was doing commercials and announcing. ere were two of us, Peter Manera, a guitarist, and me. We played a song called "Rawhide" (e Ventures version) with a drum break in it. It was live. Not taped. (Oddly, Peter Manera's father was also a dentist.) To get on the show, we came second in a Talent Show with 24 other acts. To win back then, it required 3,000 postcards (more or less, as we found out later). Most of the winners bought and handed out the cards to anyone who was breathing to mail in. I had just turned 15 five days earlier. So there you have it! A blast from the past." ALUMNI HAVE LUNCH WITH NEW WPI PRESIDENT Brothers Peter "Sporty" Stanley '70, M.F. "Sully" Sullivan '70, and Paul "Smiley" Landino '76 enjoyed a small intimate lunch with WPI's new president, Grace Wang, in Coconut Creek, Florida. It was enlightening and engaging for all. We all left impressed with Dr Wang's skills and outlook for WPI's future. ough not Greek herself, she is very pro Greek and believes in the strong values that both fraternities and sororities bring to campus. We are in good hands, Brothers! Dave Marshall '91, Brian Zielinski '91, and Bill Ouellette '92 enjoyed catching up over anksgiving break in Marlborough, Massachusetts, for the first time in over 10 years. Dave Cohen '92 organized the gathering but was unable to join. Peter Morico '79 (left) and Stephen Puchkoff '79 take a breather between Foos games to reminisce about their time in the Ol' Epsilon. James Melvin '85, Rick Hudson '82 and Dave Wilk '81 at Lord Hobo Brewery in Woburn, Massachusetts. Dan Rodriguez '86 and James Melvin '85 at the MGM Casino in Springfield, Massachusetts, last summer.
