Help Us Grow the Brotherhood S U B M I T A R E C R U I T M E N T R E F E R R A L A n attic fire on January 4 at 1211 13th Street has resulted in the opportunity to accelerate renovation of the entire building, including the 17 apartments that members will be living in. All current tenants have vacated the building (including commercial tenants and the Fiji lounge). Insurance mitigation is complete, and the general contractor has now taken possession of the site for general renovation. We anticipate having the lounge and commercial properties back online in June. The apartment renovations may be completed by August 2025, but we have opted to remain at 1012 University for one final year through August 2026 to be conservative. The operating agreement is currently being amended to provide for our investment in funding renovations, which will now be due over the next several months. Given all of this, I am encouraging anyone who can join me in accelerating your five-year pledges once the operating agreement has been amended at the end of March. Of course, you are also more than welcome to continue with your installment plan. At the end of this process, we will have an expanded scope of improvements largely funded by insurance proceeds. Thirty brothers will be living in 17 brand-new apartments. This will mark the first time that FIJI can live and hold Chapter meetings in the same building since we left 1715 Aurora, and now the location will be directly on The Hill. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact dolfkahle@gmail.com. The Latest on Facility Renovations Our Housing Timeline
