Throughout 2024, we focused on reinforcing our values and creating a welcoming environment for all members. This past fall, we welcomed 28 new members, bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to our sisterhood. We strengthened our friendships and sisterhood through various chapter events that fostered meaningful participation. Our active involvement in campus activities— particularly volunteer opportunities, football games, and other campus-wide events—enhanced our visibility within the university community. A highlight of 2024 was our annual Chili Feed philanthropy event, which raised approximately $500 for the Foster Network. This organization provides essential resources for children in foster care, and supporting their mission brought our members together for meaningful community service. Financial management proved to be another notable success. The team excelled at overseeing our finances by carefully monitoring budgets and resourcefully seeking thrifted materials. Together, with the leadership of Samantha Gavette '23, we implemented robust systems to ensure our home remained functional and well-maintained. Our consistent communication with the corporation board has helped establish financial stability and facilitate necessary repairs to our chapter house. One of our significant achievements was organizing and revitalizing our chapter house. The executive team collaborated to systematically sort through our materials and resources, take inventory, and utilize what we already had. This effort not only improved our living space but helped us allocate funds more effectively for essential expenses. Serving as chapter president has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work together with such a dedicated group of women. As we reflect on this past year, we feel excited about our chapter's future and the positive impact we will continue to make together. We, as a chapter, are inspired by Bonny Shade's words: "Good leaders fear change; great leaders create it." We stand ready to embrace change and create an even brighter future for Alpha Xi Delta.
