Updates from Indiana Zeta
T
he Alumni Volunteer Corporation has been busy this year as it continues to provide
support to the undergraduate experience, maintain 705 Mound Street, and plan for the
future of Indiana Zeta. Homecoming saw a packed house, with 2014 and 2004 graduates
celebrating their 10th and 20th reunions.
Five new AVC at-large members were added to the AVC board: Ryan Bye '15 (Renaissance),
Kyle Brown '16, Josh Yonker '19, Pat Current '20, and Matt Morateck '23. Jim Jaeger
(Renaissance) was elected vice president of housing after serving as house steward for
two years.
After five years of service, Chris Mason '17 finished his time on the AVC. As an at-large
member for two years and vice president of housing for three years, Chris could be found
plowing snow, clearing trees, fixing doors, and much more. Indiana Zeta and 705 Mound are
better thanks to Chris' time on the AVC.
The AVC held its third annual in-person meeting in Valparaiso on February 1, aligning on the
state of the AVC, chapter, and university, along with a plan for future investment into the
chapter and facility.
Thanks to alumni support, the AVC has been able to provide support for the Balanced Man
Scholarship and Banquet, Preference Dinner, Ruck Leadership Institute, Carlson Leadership
Academy, Indiana Zeta Spring Break Service Trip, Conclave, and other chapter events
and programming.
