TOM'S SHOUT-OUTS "Our property manager, Dick Seifert, does an outstanding job. He's there every day and takes care of the security and comfort of the house. Also, my little brother was Bill "Sammy" Samuelson '73, and I feel I helped him a lot in his pledgeship and membership. My big brother, Jim Little '69, helped me as an undergraduate." Tom also recognizes former Home Association presidents for their PIKE devotion: Ed Neufer '59 (1975-77), Dick Russell '58 (1977-90), Jim Barr '66 (1990-94), Lou Quinto '82 (1994-2002), Joe Conti '85 (2002-07), Bob Nice '82 (2007-16), and Matt Folz, Theta Omicron '07 (2016-20). These donors listed below stepped up to invest in Beta Phi's future, and we could not be more grateful. If you have been omitted from our contributors list, we sincerely apologize. Please contact our communications coordinator at alehr@penningtonco.com with any corrections. Tom worked in Chicago for two years before relocating to St. Louis, where he has operated a manufacturer's representative company for 50 years. In 1975, he decided to volunteer for PIKE by signing up for Beta Phi Home Association membership. "I became president, after working my way up the ladder, in 2020. I'll be retiring after 50 years on the Home Association in September 2025." From various projects and fundraisers to navigating COVID issues, Tom has maintained dutiful service to his brotherhood. He emphasizes the Home Association's responsibilities in ensuring member safety, security, comfort, and house maintenance, especially with upgrades like the 30-camera security system. SUPPORTING PIKE'S FUTURE Tom recognizes the challenges imposed by Purdue's strict rules for today's members, though he hopes to see Beta Phi Chapter thriving for years to come. With future success in mind, he pushed for a maintenance fund campaign to replace major facility equipment like boilers, water softeners, roofing, and more. "I would ask alumni for two things: contribute to the maintenance fund and interact with the undergraduates for their success," he said. Tom's fraternal devotion (and only missing two Home Association meetings) sets an example for alumni engagement, and he also recognizes Joe Conti '85 as a great source of fraternal support. Tom and his wife, Sue, have three children and five grandchildren. You can chat with him about PIKE involvement at tlm@tlmcos.com. D E C A D E S O F D U T I F U L S E R V I C E (Continued from page 1)
