Page 3 M any of us have kept up with each other on social media and enjoy finding out what our fellow brothers are up to. For over 10 years, brothers in or near the fall 1987 pledge class may have seen posts from Quint Clarke '91 about "Blair in Kenya," in which he is often surrounded by enthusiastic Kenyan schoolchildren. The work Quint has done in securing an education and future for children who otherwise would have none is nothing short of miraculous. The pictures we post of our kids' games, achievements, and graduations, and the lives we are fortunate to provide them with is a dream for these children in Kenya. "Blair in Kenya" began as a series of student trips that Quint, a teacher, led in Kenya. Over time, Quint built friendships in a poor community, and they decided to build a permanent school. The team was determined not to make it a "handout," but to build something sustainable that would outlast all of them. Blair in Kenya became a nonprofit with Quint as its president, going on to form the Blair Educational Centre, a school where Quint teaches and coaches. Quint's pledge brothers have become proud donors to BIK and encourage fellow alumni to join them. Donors can sponsor a child with a five-year annual pledge of $200, and many more project funds and naming opportunities exist as well. To learn more about the mission and make your gift, visit blairinkenya.com. Please reach out to Quint at clarkq@blair.edu if you'd like to discuss a larger commitment. We first want to thank our alumni for providing generous support and invaluable wisdom, which have been a tremendous help toward achieving fun events, new members, and better opportunities! We kicked off the season with a trip to Island Beach State Park, where we enjoyed a day of bonding. Between grilling burgers over a fire, tossing the football around, and enjoying the water, it was the perfect way to connect as brothers. The semester continued with Halloween festivities, philanthropy events on campus, and more. We can't wait to share more from this spring semester as we wrap up another great school year!
