T
he MidSouth Alumni Association
hosted the Great Sig Shootout at The
Sporting Club at Mallard's Croft in Olive
Branch, Mississippi, on October 6, 2024.
Brothers enjoyed nice weather and a
15-station sporting clay course, shooting
over 100 rounds each.
Along with the House Corporation, we
also co-hosted a University of Memphis
football Homecoming event at the Chapter
House on October 25. Congratulations to
the brothers who received awards from
Nationals at the event.
Congratulations to Brother Chris Boysen
'90, who was recently notified that he has
been awarded the Significant Sig Award.
We are planning events for 2025 and
would like your input on what you would
like to do as a group. Please email us
at midsouthsigs@gmail.com with your
suggestions.
T
his year, we are striving to accomplish as
much as we can as a Chapter and have
had our eyes set on a Gold Peterson Award.
We have worked toward this goal throughout
the year with campus and community
involvement and hope to be honored by the
achievement.
We also want to see an increase in the number
of brothers serving as leaders across campus.
Our final goal is to ensure that our new
members are not only learning the meaning of
what it is to become a Sigma Chi but placing
value on their education. We have strived
to hold our new members to this goal and
hope to receive the award for Highest New
Member GPA.
