OUR RECENT SUCCESSES We began this academic year by reflecting on our accomplishments from the 2023- 24 school year, when we received the Outstanding Chapter of the Year Award, the Civic Engagement Award, and the Leadership Development Pillar of Excellence. Brother Carson Kane '24 received the Pistos Tigeris Outstanding Senior of the Year award. The Office of Student Leadership and Involvement and the Office of the President of the University of Memphis honored us with the Collaboration Award. Brother Raphael Jamias '24 was presented with the 20 Under 30 Award, and Chapter Advisor Tyler Ricossa '11 was awarded Registered Student Organization Advisor of the Year. CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT One of our main goals this year is to strive for more campus involvement. We have aimed to support or participate in each sorority's philanthropy. Brother Michael "Big" Latimer '27 earned a spot as a Frosh Camp counselor and will serve as vice president of IFC for the 2025-26 term. Brother Jonas Kannady '26 is serving as vice president of recruitment on the IFC for the 2024-25 term. These two brothers take time from their schedules to serve, not only as Sigma Chi representatives but also as ambassadors for all Greek life to ensure that all students are receiving the most from their chapters and all chapters are adhering to the University of Memphis' policies and guidelines. HIGH-QUALITY BROTHERS Another one of our priorities is to be more selective and diligent in our recruiting efforts, ensuring that any man who receives a bid truly embodies the guidelines set forth by the Jordan Standard. Every Chapter should strive for the highest-quality pledge class over the highest quantity of potential future members. Although we have slightly declined in numbers, we are seeing rises in involvement in other areas of the Chapter and on-campus activities. In Hoc, Ean Lindsey '27 Consul Big Brother night for the spring class. From left: Thomas Stamps '26, Luke Grubbs '28, and Van Murdock '28.
