Ball State University Epsilon Mu Chapter Spring 2025 THE IRIS Delts and Alpha Phi Rock Air Jam • 2 The Path Ahead • 3 W ord for word, Bryan S. Morrow '90 still remembers what was written on the bid he received in October 1985. Becoming a Delt was a pivotal decision in Bryan's life. It opened the door to leadership opportunities across campus, leading him to an adventurous 35-year career with PepsiCo; it even introduced him to his wife of 34 years. "That bid started it all." As Bryan and his brothers used to say, "Being a Delt is special, but it is a privilege to be a Ball State Delt." Serving on executive council and attending social functions with his fellow Delts was always fun and exciting. Several brothers became lifelong friends through the years, including colleagues he sees regularly. "Being a Ball State Delt was fun and also a life enriching experience." Bryan first joined PepsiCo as a campus recruit, later leaving to work for Quaker Oats on the Gatorade brand before PepsiCo recruited him back several years later. He has worked in many of the company's sectors and run some of its largest retail teams and channels. He was also founding member PepsiCo's foodservice division and served on many industry associations boards. With decades of experience, Bryan brings a diverse skill set to the consumer- packaged goods industry. He prides himself on leading effectively in heavily resourced and process-driven roles as well as working in start-up businesses with fewer resources. Bryan and his wife live in Mason, Ohio, where they are active in their local church and enjoy time with friends in the Cincinnati area. Two of their three sons enjoyed fraternity life at Xavier and Miami University Ohio. "I'm a very blessed individual," Bryan said. "I've had a great career and I've got a great family. I think Delt helped start it all." You can reach Bryan at bryan.morrow@pepsico.com. Bryan S. Morrow '90 Reflects on a Special Brotherhood A Meaningful Decision EPSILON MU MAKES BOLD NEW CHANGES "The Epsilon Mu Chapter of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity cordially extends an invitation to you to join our fraternity with the hope that someday we will call you brother." T his past year was a challenging one for our chapter. University probation, followed by the tragic loss of Brother Trevor Bard this past summer, were crushing blows. But the resolve of the undergraduates allowed them to work through these difficulties and continue to improve the chapter. » A revamped academic program that partners with the new Academic Success Coaching office has seen measured and marked grade improvement for many brothers. » More diligent finance standards have resulted in increased financial stability. » An updated risk management plan should increase safeguards and reduce liability. » A revised recruitment program resulted in our largest fall pledge class in five years, including more pledges this spring. The new executive board is eager to keep moving forward. We've already incorporated refinements to new member education and standards. Alumni should already be seeing increased social media posts with more ambitious social media engagement. We were proud to once again host our Delt regional gathering, Emerge in Muncie, in early February. Lastly, if you've not visited the Shelter recently but find yourself in the area, please stop by. We've been scanning more old composites and putting them up, so you can find your old pics and reminisce a little. The brothers appreciate any time alumni share stories and memories from their college days. Fraternally, Andrew M. Yakubik '90 Chapter Advisor Bryan's Advice to Young Delts "Be a leader, be engaged, live a growth mindset. Those are core values of my leadership style." A Courageous Brotherhood
