We hope the start to your 2025 has been full of good health, joy, and prosperity. Our collegiate members began the year with a bang by successfully recruiting 82 women through formal recruitment and adding another 19 through the continuous open bidding process—for a chapter of 243 Real. Strong. Women. We know our collegiate officers are ready to provide a robust, meaningful membership experience while we figure out how to accommodate so many women for chapter dinner! The local house corporation continues to work with the chapter to address their desires and provide some "not so sexy" updates like adding security lighting around the house and parking lot, planning to replace the roof, and updating contracts for a better laundry service. The LHC continues to recruit and add members to the board. The board meets monthly and works on projects in-between meetings. It's a fun way to interact with collegiate members and provide tangible enhancements to the experience. The LHC also hopes to provide a large-scale renovation in the coming years, so if you have experience with renovations, contractors, financing, or legal support, you'd make a meaningful contribution to the group. If you are interested in getting involved, please reach out to alphaomicronlhc@gmail.com. Alpha Iota Alpha has two ways to welcome alumnae of Alpha Omicron: in-person membership for Columbus-area women who want to gather for lunch, evening social events, and fundraisers and philanthropy programming as well as connecting with the collegiate chapter. Alpha Omicrons living anywhere in the world can join AIA with a virtual membership. Stay connected wherever you might be living, in whichever life phase. There is something for you in our sisterhood; come join us! Check out the Facebook group (Alpha Iota Alpha Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega) for regular updates, or connect with Barbara Rice Barta '68, AIA president, to get added to the email list. Finally, if you are interested in giving back to the collegiate experience, the chapter is usually looking to fill advisory board roles. You do not necessarily have to be based in Columbus to help, as you can advise remotely or virtually. Please reach out to the interim chapter advisor, Elizabeth Kinder, Bradley University '99, at elizabethlkinder@gmail.com to learn about opportunities available, including positional and chapter advisers, specifically panhellenic and facility operations. The chapter would truly benefit from your wisdom, guidance, and support. However Alpha Chi Omega fits into your life in this particular season, we are so excited to welcome you home and have some fun. Loyally, and Go Bucks!
