FRATERNITIES MATTER RELEVANCY IN CHANGING TIMES Brothers are more connected to their local communities, and they spend more time volunteering than nonaffiliated students. RESEARCH PROVES OUR MISSION IS IMPORTANT Fraternities empower students and provide a strong support system. When members seek help, they are twice as likely to turn to a brother than anyone else. Members experience greater gains in learning and graduate at higher rates than their peers. 83% of members say their confidence in their leadership skills increased because of their membership. Members are more academically engaged than their peers. A mid the ongoing negative news stories about fraternities and sororities, it's natural to ask the question "Are Greek organizations as relevant today as they were when I was a student?" Despite these headlines, fraternities continue to play a vital role in fostering positive mental health, accelerating student success, and creating deep loyalty and connection to the collegiate experience. Perhaps the biggest attribute of a fraternity is that it teaches us values one simply cannot learn in a classroom. By further investing in the environment our Chapter calls home, we can ensure the Beta Mu house remains a space for brothers to become principled men. THE FRATERNITY EXPERIENCE IS ALIVE AND WELL AT PURDUE UNIVERSITY SIZE Number of chapters: 49 Average chapter size: 77 Percent of Greek students: 17% All-university men's GPA: 3.19 Beta Mu GPA: 3.32 ACADEMICS CAMPUS
