The Front Porch Kansas Theta | Pittsburgh State University | Spring 2025 One of our fall brotherhood events was playing pickleball. Parker Schwartz and Corbin McCall won the tournament! We had a blast bringing home the trophy from the Frat Olympics! We competed in events like cornhole, 3 vs. 3 basketball, water die, sand volleyball, and tug of war to benefit the Robbie Page Memorial Fund. ACADEMICS Kansas Theta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has shown a strong commitment to academic excellence, achieving a collective GPA of 3.23 in fall 2023 and maintaining an impressive 3.11 in spring 2024. These results reflect the dedication of our members and the fraternity's emphasis on scholarship, fostering a supportive environment that encourages academic success alongside our fraternal value of brotherhood. SUMMER RECRUITMENT The chapter hosted three summer recruitment events: • Royals Tailgate/Game (June 29) – Kicking off the summer, we hosted a tailgate at the Royals vs. Guardians game, attracting six PNMs and 12 undergraduates. The fun continued post-game at a brother's pool. • SigEp Barbecue (July 20) – Our barbecue brought together 25 brothers and 11 PNMs for a lively day filled with delicious food and activities like cornhole, basketball, and Spikeball, helping PNMs feel welcomed. • Pool Party (August 10) – We concluded our recruitment events with an enjoyable pool party in Pittsburg, featuring music, pizza, and pool volleyball. This successful event attracted 30 active members and 12 PNMs, many of whom showed great interest in SigEp. Out of 24 potential new members, we successfully recruited all 24 and initiated 13. We are excited about the strong turnout this recruitment season and look forward to fostering lasting connections with our new members! BROTHERHOOD AND CAMPUS CAMARADERIE We've been busy this fall with events like our brotherhood pickleball tournament, intramural sports, Sigma Sigma Sigma's Frat Olympics, paintball, and pumpkin carving with Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. Some of it was for fun and bonding, while some was for supporting community and philanthropy. Check out the pictures for more details! Stay tuned for more updates about our fall 2024 recruitment class and the rest of our semester. We hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday season!
