MINERVA REPORT A P U B L I C A T I O N O F W Y O M I N G A L P H A C H A P T E R O F S I G M A A L P H A E P S I L O N WINTER 2025 SAVE THE DATE Mark your calendar now for the 7th biannual Round-Up on April 24-26, 2026, in Laramie! Your alumni association has organized this event since 2013, and hundreds of alumni and undergraduates have enjoyed a wonderful time connecting with old friends and making new ones. Traditionally, the weekend has kicked off with a "Welcome Home" reception on Friday night, moved on to a "Our Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys" dinner (featuring the induction of distinguished alumni into the Wyoming Alpha Hall of Fame) on Saturday evening, and concluded with a "Bustin' Out of Laramie" farewell breakfast on Sunday morning. HELP GET THE WORD OUT? The roadmap for pulling all this off has been well-established, but the alumni association is actively recruiting a small posse of alumni to take the reins to make the 2026 Round-Up even more successful than those in the past. The most challenging task is to efficiently inform and engage alumni from every generation. Those of you who have the expertise and the inclination to reach out to fellow alumni through email, snail mail, social media, and other avenues are encouraged to saddle up! HALL OF FAME FEEDBACK We need you to identify alumni for potential induction into the Wyoming Alpha Hall of Fame! The alumni association intends to make the process open and transparent, and all brothers are welcome to submit nominations. The general, broad criteria for Hall of Fame induction can be accessed at wyosae.org. Some interest has been expressed in expanding the eligibility pool to include our younger alumni. The current criteria call for a minimum of 30 years from the time of initiation into ΣAE before a candidate is eligible for induction. If you have thoughts on this or any other aspect of the Hall of Fame process, your alumni association would like to hear from you. ZOOM MEETING COMING SOON! In the shorter term, the alumni association keenly hopes to engage all alumni and to increase participation at all levels. The alumni association bylaws (also available on the website) call for regular meetings of the association and the election of various officers. Sadly, and for various reasons, it has proven challenging to arrange such meetings, but the association would like to remedy this shortly by calling a preliminary alumni association meeting to be convened via Zoom soon.
