Chris Clarke '89 hosts the monthly September board meeting on his boat where alumni and undergraduate officers were able to discuss meaningful ways to improve the house. Before joining Alpha Delta Phi, Will Hunt '26 was already excited about the possibilities to contribute to the brotherhood. Finding his place on campus gave the Seattle native an immense sense of pride, and Will appreciates how Washington Chapter is helping him grow as a young man. A SENSE OF COMMUNITY "Two of my recruitment chairmen, Arjun Hara '24 and JJ Swanson '24, were a huge reason I joined in the first place," Will said. He was fascinated by the Chapter's rich history and tight-knit bonds, and Arjun and JJ helped Will adjust to fraternity life as a pledge. Will continues to make great memories with Brothers, like camping out with his roommate to be in the front row for College Gameday (and later rushing the field after a win over Oregon). He also enjoyed assisting Alpha Delta Phi in bringing the community together to raise $65,000 for Stanley Stamm Camp through Seattle Children's Hospital, thanks to the Chapter's Bubble Bash Dinner and auction. "In all my actions, I recognize that I not only represent myself but also my 100 closest friends and all the alumni that came before me. I am really proud of all the work we do here." FRATERNAL SUPPORT As Washington Chapter's risk manager and head of the Bubble Bash Guild, Will continues to learn about personal responsibilities and considering other's perspectives. Alumni like Michael Bellick '15, David Gilluly '16, Zach Williams '16, and more give also played a major role in Will's development by providing insightful pointers and career wisdom. "Whenever I give issues with my house duties, they always have great insights and help me work through things to keep our house succeeding," he added. Will is also grateful for the house chef, Jen, making accommodations for his food allergies. Will is majoring in computer science with a minor in business administration. He has plans for some sort of career in software engineering and is keeping options open in case he can intersect engineering with another interest, like healthcare or sports. In the meantime, Will has a product management internship this year with a startup called Huddle Fantasy Sports, founded by a UW alumnus. You can connect with him at pw.hunt11@gmail.com.
