Page 2 CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT Delta Upsilon brothers are deeply involved in various campus organizations, clubs, and leadership positions beyond our fraternity. This engagement enriches the college experience for members and strengthens Delta Upsilon's presence on campus. Participation in student government, academic clubs, and leadership in other student organizations exemplifies our commitment to broadening our influence and fostering connections across the university. WHITE OUT WEEKEND TAILGATE In the spirit of fostering strong connections across generations, Delta Upsilon hosted an alumni tailgate during the highly anticipated White Out Weekend. This event was a highlight of the semester, bringing together brothers past and present to celebrate the Chapter's legacy and unity. The tailgate reinforced the importance of maintaining close ties with alumni, who continue to support and inspire the Chapter through their experiences and involvement. Delta Upsilon at Penn State continues to uphold its mission of fostering academic excellence, philanthropy, and leadership within and beyond the university. The brotherhood remains committed to maintaining these standards of achievement, service, and personal development as we build future successes. LEADERSHIP AND ACHIEVEMENTS One of our most significant milestones this year has been the nomination of our former chapter president, Austin Parisi '23, as the IFC president for Penn State University. This prestigious nomination is a testament to Austin's leadership skills, dedication, and the respect he has garnered both within the chapter and across the broader campus community. The entire chapter is proud of Austin's accomplishment, which also serves as a reflection of the values and standards upheld by Delta Upsilon. ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE Our members consistently prioritize academic success alongside their extracurricular activities. Our chapter maintains a high cumulative GPA, demonstrating the importance we place on scholarship and intellectual growth. Study sessions, peer mentorship programs, and academic resources provided within the chapter help members achieve their personal academic goals while contributing to the chapter's overall scholastic achievements. PHILANTHROPY AND THON INVOLVEMENT Philanthropy remains a cornerstone of our chapter's mission, with a strong focus on supporting THON, Penn State's annual 46-hour dance marathon dedicated to raising awareness and funds for pediatric cancer. This year, Delta Upsilon has intensified its fundraising efforts and is striving to be among the top contributors to THON. Our Chapter's participation in THON includes a variety of fundraising and community-building events: • 5K Runs: Brothers have actively participated in THON 5K runs, which not only raise money but also promote health and wellness within the Chapter. • Dunk Tank Event: We hosted a THON Dunk Tank event, inviting the campus community to engage in a fun activity while supporting a meaningful cause. • Wiffle Ball Tournament: Organizing a THON Wiffle Ball game added an element of friendly competition and camaraderie, drawing participation from both our members and the wider Penn State community. • Pumpkin Carving with Delta Gamma: To foster strong partnerships and collaborative spirit, we hosted a pumpkin carving event with our sorority partner, Delta Gamma. This event brought members closer while contributing to THON's overarching mission. • Supporting THON Families: Beyond fundraising, our Chapter is dedicated to supporting our THON families on a personal level. Members regularly visit them, send thoughtful gifts, and maintain communication to show unwavering support. • You can learn more in our digital THON newsletter: duthonnewsletter.my.canva.site
