In addition to our traditional annual meeting, Chapter Eternal ceremony remembering recently departed brothers, post-meeting barbecue, and downtown celebrations, we've expanded planning to include additional events. Matt Glaccum '92 (A1324) has agreed to again lead us on Theta Xi history walking tours both on campus (before our annual meeting) and in downtown Troy (after our barbecue). And we're adding downtown programming to expand upon our traditional bar and brewery-related touring to provide options for brothers who prefer a wider variety of food and beverages. We unfortunately had two brothers enter Chapter Eternal at very young ages last spring, each of whom left minor children fatherless. A handful of brothers have been working to establish a scholarship fund for these children for their anticipated college-related needs. We plan to officially launch this scholarship at 6294 and spend time together remembering those who have passed leaving children who need our support. We've identified four brothers with children who would qualify. They include Pete Larochelle '98 (A1435), Phil Kerrigan '00 (A1485), Ben Haynes '04 (A1526), and Rob Robles '09 (A1577). Please pass along the names of any Chapter Eternal brothers who've left children that may need help with college costs. We're working to add additional programming around the scholarship fund and these specific brothers. Please come back and help us remember these and other alumni we've lost. Pete's Boston-based brothers have reminded us about his love for poker, and will renew our annual Texas Hold-em charity poker tournament Saturday night to raise money for the new scholarship fund.
