ALPHA GAMMA RHO FRATERNITY Lambda Chapter | University of Minnesota P.O. Box 442100 Lawrence, KS 66044-2100 Address Service Requested I n recognition of multi-year accomplishments, including the acquisition of the Clocker property, demolition of existing structures, successful fundraising, and redevelopment of the property into an off-street parking lot with enhanced landscaping, the Lambda Alumni Corporation Board of Directors has approved a special Founder's Day for 2025. Founder's Day will be delayed to Saturday, September 13, 2025. Similar to when we completed chapter house reconstruction 10 years ago, Founder's Day will be held under a Big Top canopy—but in the BACK LOT. It will be held in the new parking lot with a day-long celebration, including televised Gopher football and barbecue by one of Twin Cities' finest purveyors of smoked meats. This date was chosen with the collegians in mind and likelihood for good weather (and to avoid interfering with spring planting or fall harvest). The one variable that remains undetermined is the timing of kickoff for the Gopher football game, which will be held on the west coast with a two-hour time difference. We may not know the kickoff time until just weeks before the event. Nonetheless, we will adapt to that time by scheduling the FD business meeting and the barbecue around it. Accordingly, we will communicate via email when the schedule is finalized. Please ensure we have your current email address by sending any email address updates to updatemyrecord@penningtonco.com. During the event, 21 Lambda brothers (and wives) played or rode with us at the Northlinks Golf Course in North Mankato. Due to their generosity, we raised $1,000 dollars for our "Fill the Freezer" campaign. We would like to make this an annual ritual that moves around the state so every brother or family member who wants to play can. It was a great time, and as one of the brothers said to me after the round, "Bergy, I haven't had a chance to visit with some of the brothers in 40 years as life kind of got in the way. Please let me know where and when you have this next year." With that in mind, this event will take place every second Saturday in July, so save July 12, 2025 on your calendars. We don't have a location, so please feel free to contact me or Keith Wolf at keithewolf@gmail.com with suggestions. And last but not least, the team of Ewald/Fischer were the medalists with the low score of 63. Brother Berglund organized a golf tournament where alumni pooled money to donate.
