Nu Chapter of Chi Omega at the University of Wisconsin • Fall 2024 THE NU'S Χ Ω COMMITTED TO SISTERHOOD AND PHILANTHROPY We're Thrilled to Share Our Latest Updates! Outgoing Chapter President Zoe shares what Chi O has been up to recently! This semester, Nu Chapter has continued its work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Our most recent event, Walk It Out, was held on November 3. During the event, local wish kids dressed up and walked a runway with our entire Chapter cheering them on! Last semester, we raised over $11,000 with some of our smaller events like selling roses on Valentine's Day and Cookie Dough for Chi O! PHILANTHROPY We love supporting Make-A-Wish, including repping them and our philanthropy events while away from campus! Here, Lily Gano '23 wears her Cookie Dough with Chi O sweatshirt on the beach! My co-chairman, Izzy Resnick '23, and I are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to give back to our local youth in such an impactful way. As Chi Omegas, we feel a sense of responsibility to cultivate a spirit of service, and we hope our efforts will make a meaningful difference in our community –Zoe Kreller '22 Emily Fisher '22, Skylar Gothelf '21, and Emma Herzog '23 celebrate with one of our runway participants during Walk It Out. We currently have more than 10 members on the women's club lacrosse team, a competitive team with three practices a week and travel on the weekends. This is a huge part of what makes our Chapter so unique and hardworking. I NTRAMURALS Janna Mantel '23 and Taylor Keno '23 make bracelets with some Walk It Out participants. Alumnae/ Parents Events In October, we hosted a Homecoming welcome event for all Nu Chapter alumnae. We met some great women who continue to show us the value of being a Chi O alumna. We loved greeting our alumnae members who made the trip and stopped at our house on 115 Langdon. Our Chapter would like to thank the active alumnae of Nu Chapter for their support as they continue to make Chi Omega such a strong sisterhood beyond college. Their continued support has granted us fixes for our house, outreach for our philanthropy, and continued connections. Sisters during our alumnae welcome event during Homecoming.
