page 2 Crescent Ne H appy fall! I am proud to report on the successes of our chapter this year. Academic on the Rise In spring 2024, Tri Delta earned a 3.4 GPA and had 151 members on the dean's list. In addition to increasing our GPA, many members have been accepted into prestigious programs at the University of Missouri. Sophia Findley '22 was accepted into the Nuclear Medicine Program, and Faith Matyszka '22 and Brooke Creighton '22 have been admitted into the Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Program. Additionally, Grace Springer '21 and Addi Woodward '21 are earning their Master of Accountancy. Director of Academic Excellence Shea O'Herron '21, who is in the Coordinated Program in Dietetics, shared, "Tri Deltas across all grade levels can choose to participate in weekly study hours at the house to not only work on schoolwork but also make connections with other sisters." Supporting the Community Our philanthropic efforts have been in full swing. Over the summer, Kadence Dryer '22, McKenna Beine '23, and Jessie Comings '23 attended the St. Jude Celebration in Memphis in honor of the $100 million raised in our 25-year partnership. On September 28, Tri Delta participated in the Lizzy's Walk of Faith Foundation's 5K, which raised $25,000 for St. Jude and $25,000 for the Osteosarcoma Institute. We are proud to report that in one week, our chapter raised over $8,000 for donations to the Food Bank of Northeast and Central Missouri during Homecoming. Our annual Sincerely Yours letter-writing campaign took place on November 3, and on November 8, sisters participated in the Beta Theta Pi Greek Lacrosse Cup to aid financially disadvantaged youth in purchasing equipment for participation in athletics. Additionally, Carson DuRall '22 and Lola Jahant '22 have earned positions on the 2024 Mizzou RAMS Steering Committee, which supports the Multiple Sclerosis Institute of Mid-Missouri. We take pride in our dedication to supporting such amazing causes. Chapter Grows by 105 We're thrilled to report that 105 new members were initiated on September 18, bringing our chapter total to 317. This year, 75% of the PNMs who attended preference round ranked Delta Xi as their first choice, an 11% increase from last year. This high ranking directly contributed to the chapter's strong bid-matching performance. Delta Xi consistently meets or exceeds quota, demonstrating our strong strategy. Recruitment was gracefully led by Laura Halliday '22, Kennedy Oliver '21, and Kylee Hansen '21. Our Bid Day theme, Love Tri Delta (inspired by LoveShackFancy), was beautifully executed by Abilene Lortz '22, and Dallas Dudenhoeffer '22 led the Pearl to Pine new member experience. On September 11, we celebrated the long awaited Big/Little reveal, and on September 15, we hosted a retreat for new members at Midway Golf and Games. The 2024 class is filled with dynamic individuals who we are honored to have in our sisterhood. Thank you to Membership Experience Advisor Heidi Riemann Miles '80 for her strong dedication to supporting these initiatives! Homecoming Recap Delta Xi paired with Sigma Nu for Homecoming 2024. The year's theme was "Iconic Movies," and our sub-theme was Hotel Transylvania. We celebrated our pairing with a social at Serenity Valley Winery on October 6, and we are proud to announce that we took home fourth place in the service category. Three Tri Deltas served on the Homecoming Steering Committee: Anna Stoll '21 (service), Emma Barnes '21 (parade), and Natalia Del Campo Gomez '22 (blood). Following Homecoming on October 9, we hosted a Kentucky Derby-themed social with Alpha Tau Omega. TRI DELTAS EXCEL AT MIZZOU AND BEYOND Maya Koehler '22 and Katie Berland '23 ready for philanthropy round of recruitment. Member class '24 volunteering at the Lizzy's Walk of Faith 5K.
