FROM THE HEART 2 INDIANA ALPHA Brothers engage with potential new members during an Ultimate Frisbee recruitment event. I don't know if any of us ever believed that we would finally "make it" to the finish line of the fundraising campaign, but we have! I want to point out the extraordinary efforts from some of our alumni, which certainly helped us finish strong. There were many unexpected obstacles along the way, including interest rates skyrocketing, inflation on all our building materials, finding out that we had to fix/replace the 100+ year roof, discovering the all-new sprinkler systems required access from across Stadium Avenue, and being informed we needed a beam support system in the great hall to support a sagging second floor. We're grateful to the members who provided extraordinary help in the face of these challenges! Thanks are owed to James "Garth" Mosch '80, the campaign director, and Tim '77 and Terry Larson '80, the contractors who supervised this herculean effort, as well as Ted Hazeldine '65, who came to the rescue when beams became necessary in the great hall. Thank you, Mitch Salyers '93, chapter counselor, who helped develop and implement the undergraduate efforts to grow manpower and help develop new members into SigEps. Thank you also to our two remodel co-chairmen, David Andrews '79 and Scott Swisher '79, and President Mike Ellis '84, who not only was the glue that kept us focused but who also donated a great piano for the great hall. Honorary Fundraising Chairman Norm Nabhan '71, Secretary Brian Rodell '98, and Treasurer Mark Napier '92 also all played key parts in this success story. Last but certainly not least, a great "thank you" is due to all the brothers who donated to this great cause. Indiana Alpha continues to greater things! WELCOME, NEW MEMBERS W e are excited to unveil a new vision for Sigma Phi Epsilon: Raise Your Bar, our strategic plan that sets a bold vision for Sigma Phi Epsilon. This initiative is designed for every SigEp and invites every member— undergraduates, alumni, parents, and donors—to unite in our mission of Building Balanced Men. Within the plan is a call to action: to reclaim our title as the largest and best fraternity on every campus we plant the SigEp flag. Through increased volunteer support and financial investment at Indiana Alpha, we will create vital development opportunities that foster growth for future generations. The plan challenges us to meet the needs of this and future generations of young men with development opportunities essential to success. This collective effort will strengthen our brotherhood and create lasting leadership and personal growth opportunities like never before. Let's work hand in hand to elevate our Fraternity to new heights and inspire future generations to carry the SigEp legacy forward.
