MO ALPHA PHI M I S S O U R I A L P H A C H A P T E R O F P H I D E L T A T H E T A THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI FALL 2024 The T hank you to all the Missouri Alpha alumni who were able to join us for Alumni Weekend as Mizzou took on Vanderbilt on September 21. It was a perfect day in Columbia, and it was great to see Phis from all over the country and world at our tailgate before the game. R E K I N D L I N G B O N D S It was especially great to see one of the Bartulica brothers. Nick '95, traveled from St. Joseph, Missouri, where he practices medicine as an internal medicine physician. His brother, Steve '92 resides in Croatia, where he is a member of parliament and a representative in Brussels. We also want to give a shoutout and special thank you to Eric Thomassen, house dad/director and Phi Delt chef. Eric helped prepare some excellent food for alumni at the house and tailgate. He also is a huge help in keeping the chapter house in great shape and oversees all operational aspects of Missouri Alpha's facilities. We will keep you posted on the date for next year's event so you can plan early for travel and accommodations in Columbia. We'd love to see you back at Mizzou! S C H O L A R S H I P S Thanks to a generous donation from Dr. M. Ray Thomasson '52, the scholarship fund was able to award "Proud to Be a Missouri Alpha Phi" scholarships to three deserving Phi Delt undergraduates. (Read more about Ray on page 2!) These scholarships are awarded to members who exemplify excellence in academics and the founding principles of Phi Delta Theta. The first scholarship, named after Ray, was awarded to Ryan Dorch '26. Shay Butler '24 and Duke Mooney '26 were also awarded. Another heartfelt thank you to brother Thomasson for making this possible. Missouri Alpha undergraduates gather for a photo.
