We are currently looking for dates and locations for an event in Baton Rouge. If you are in the capital area and would like to help, please call, text, or email me. Also, if you would like to co-host an event in your area, let me know. Closer to home, we are working hard to develop a local Alumni Advisory Board. is group will work directly with the on-campus chapter. ere is a recurring need to provide support for officer transition, Eta Zeta traditions, LEAD programming, and general leadership development. If you reside along the I-20 corridor between Monroe and Shreveport and would be willing to volunteer a few hours a month, we could use your assistance. To be more specific, we are looking for 13 alumni (in DOING OUR PART AS ALUMNI MANY WAYS TO STAY ENGAGED MANY WAYS TO STAY ENGAGED Consider an Estate Gift to Eta Zeta honor of our 13 founders) to serve a three-year tour of duty around this initiative. Finally, it is a privilege to serve as our alumni chapter's Commander. Reconnecting with the chapter and the university over the last few years has been tremendously rewarding. If you have any questions or suggestions for or to benefit our alumni chapter, please reach out. Love, Honor, Truth, Jason Smith HZ642 (318) 218-4985 jsmith@bonvenubank.com T o fund the future of Sigma Nu at Louisiana Tech University, combined with the realization that legacy gis can be relatively simple to create and that such gis can provide necessary funding for the future development and sustainability of Eta Zeta and the chapter house, the House Corporation encourages you to consider an estate gi. ere are many ways to leave a legacy gi for Eta Zeta. One may make a gi by naming the House Corporation as a beneficiary in their will, living trust, life insurance policy, retirement account, or brokerage account. e gis may be any amount or a percentage share, and they may even be on a contingent basis. In other words, the donor's family comes first, but if catastrophe strikes, their desire to help Eta Zeta is made effective. Many contingent gis may provide no benefit for Sigma Nu, but that is not a concern. Estate giving is designed to create the opportunity to make a difference, to remember, and to safeguard a bright future for our chapter. If such opportunities are embraced, some will reach fruition, while other donors may decide that they would prefer to make things more certain and provide specific monetary or percentage gis in their documents. Regardless, this option is meant to provide an opportunity to give something back to our brotherhood. If Sigma Nu means something to you, or someone you love, and Eta Zeta played a role in that experience, then please consider giving back through this meaningful opportunity.
