Currently, more than 1,600 undergraduate brothers have taken advantage of personalized career coaching from alumni within their desired field. SigEp's goal is to ensure each undergraduate brother receives career coaching to prepare him for the next step after graduation. As a freshman at CU, Nathan Adler '05 was proud to join childhood friends in rebuilding the SigEp at Colorado brotherhood. SigEp membership prepared him for a successful life beyond graduation, and Nathan hopes new members can enjoy that same sense of development as the Fraternity returns to campus again. SIGEP AT COLORADO CULTURE "SigEp definitely had a positive influence on me," Nathan said. While old friends helped in his decision to join, Nathan also appreciated the chance to make new connections with people from different backgrounds. He has fond memories of good times with his brothers, including a paintball trip to Colorado Springs that built teamwork and communication. "We had guys that were seasoned players and a lot of first-timers working both together and against each other. All in all, a great time." LIFE BEYOND COLLEGE Nathan spent years working in financial services after studying economics and finance at CU. He became a homebrewer in his spare time and eventually started working part-time as an assistant brewer at a local brewery. "I came to realize I loved the tangibility of brewing," he mentioned. Following years of careful planning and research, Nathan opened Westminster Brewing Co. in 2019. The industry faces various obstacles from economic pressure to demographic shifts and changing consumer preferences, but Nathan takes pride in the company's variety and quality of beer offerings. SIGEP RETURN EFFORTS Nathan appreciates the SigEp alumni network and has primarily stayed connected through Chris Gassman '04. He is excited about the prospect of the Chapter returning while also hoping they adhere to the same time- tested principles of Sigma Phi Epsilon brotherhood. "Good luck to the men in getting SigEp at Colorado back," Nathan said. Through personal experience as an undergraduate, he knows the difficulty and challenges involved in a Chapter rebuild. "The focus and adherence to being a Balanced Man has to be there for the duration." You can connect with Nathan at nathan.b.adler@gmail.com.
