DELTA CHI page 2 H eading into our fourth year of owning 801 Moro Street, we're getting plenty of use out of it! Each year, 14 brothers live in, and they're almost all sophomores from the previous year's fall associate member class. It's a great way for a group from the same class to get to know each other even more. THE PERFECT SPACE Having a centralized location where Delta Chis can hang out does wonders for our brotherhood. We have a half basketball court outside and bring out cornhole a lot in the fall. You'll find brothers watching away games in the living room and studying for tests in the conference room. Our executive board and committees also meet here throughout the week. A RECRUITMENT DIFFERENCE-MAKER Being able to host recruitment barbecues, watch parties, and yard game tournaments at Moro has been one of the reasons why recruitment has taken off in the last few semesters. Recruits are really excited about our setup. Rain or shine, winter or summer, we have the space to host and show them what it means to be a Delta Chi. While other fraternities lock freshman into multi-year leases in sleeping dorms, we can take them in a different direction. At Moro, you get your own bedroom and share a kitchen, living room, and two bathrooms with two roommates—something no other fraternity at K-State can offer. Parents are also very impressed. We host tours on mom's and dad's weekends where families get to see the place we call home. They're surprised with how nice, clean, and modern the space is. VOLUNTEER SUPPORT Our House Corporation made this acquisition possible but also works hard to maintain the property throughout the year. Volunteers come to Manhattan for move out, various work days, and meet regularly to review finances and plans. We would not be where we are today without their support and expertise, so thank you! Whenever you're back in town, reach out and we'll have a brother show you around Moro. An Enhanced Fraternity Life Experience Checking in at 801 Moro Street 801 Moro is a great place for brothers to gather for meetings and study sessions. Brothers often utilize the conference room to stay focused on academic pursuits. In front of various trophies and Delta Chi décor at Moro, brothers hang out and watch TV.
