This year, the chapter sent Hunter and Joey, our treasurer, to Convention in Atlanta since I could not attend. Alpha Sigma Chapter won awards for our Founder's Day of Giving donations, our accreditation report, and our work on Theta Xi's newest collaboration, Phired Up. As a chapter, we completed a total of 84 philanthropy hours, which equaled donating $9,613 to our charities. Beginning this fall, we're enhancing our philanthropy involvement by requiring every member, associates included, to achieve at least 10 service hours each semester. The chapter president also added a new officer position: recruitment chairman-elect. This person serves as a right- hand man to the current chairman and helps to take some of the stress during recruitment season and supplement the recruitment committee. It will also provide our incoming recruitment chairmen with a year of experience, ensuring he is ready to fulfill this exceedingly important role in our chapter when he takes on the role. Welcome, NEW Members Let's Talk About Alpha Sigma A handful of our members participated in internships over the summer. Ethan Carbone '26 worked with Bradley's athletic department. "It was great to be able to work with many talented Division 1 athletes and coaches and to market them to impact Bradley and the surrounding community," he said. Joey Traskaski '26 worked an internship at KWA Inc. "I was a dispatcher and booked for the company," he shared. "My favorite part of the experience was the people I got to connect with and the knowledge I gained from being a part of such a great company." UNDERGRADUATES SHARE SUCCESSES AND GOALS Theta Xi is back, and fall is already in full swing! Last spring, thanks to our scholarship chairman, Hunter Bent '27, we earned the third-highest spring GPA out of the fraternities on campus. He drafted up a brand-new scholarship plan, and it has been a hit thus far! With the revival of study hours, every member is putting their best foot forward this semester regarding their academics.
