A detailed comparison of the four Gospels contain- ing the accounts of Jesus Christ, along with some pertinent historical (acts (verified by secular historical and I or archae- ological sources) reveals an unwavering continuity in the content of jesus' message; that is, all the gospels get the same points across, even if they word Jesus' sayings some- what differently. Also important is the fad that each Gospel writer had a different purpose, a different audience in mind . Certain omissions and rewordings can be explained by the author's intent and sometimes by the prQ)(imity of the particular witness to what was happening. A careful, informed study of the Gospels clears up any questions of inaccuracy raised by a hasty investigation.
