p. 5 SIGMA PHI EPSILON Charles T. Sikes '56 passed away on July 29, 2023. Charles served in the U.S. Army Reserve Corp. for five years, during which he worked with his family in their several retail businesses, including Austin's Bo Peep Shop and Expecting the Best stores. Charles later purchased the Bo Peep shop from his retiring parents and founded two more Austin retail stores selling maternity, children, and infant clothing. Charles was involved in his community and served as senior warden for the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and as president of the Zachary Scott Theater Board. He and his wife, Carole, were married for 65 years. After retirement, they traveled and painted landscapes in the U.S. and Europe. Charles loved his family and friends and never met a stranger. Warren P. Cash '57 passed away on September 4, 2023. During college, he met and married Alice Dickson, who was the mother of his sons, Warren III and Brooks. After completing his master's in mathematics, Warren worked in data management and corporate computing systems, and later became the manager of computer operations and planning at Caltex Petroleum. In 1973, he married Gretchen Remick. Together, they enjoyed skiing and world travel. R. Pat Sweeney Jr. '57 passed away on October 21, 2023. John S. Hollyfield '61 passed away on December 23, 2023. He actively served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-65 and continued his service in the reserves through 1973. He later graduated from The University of Texas Law School with honors in 1968 and joined the law firm of Fulbright, Crooker, Freeman, Bates, & Jaworski (now known as Norton Rose Fulbright), where he was a partner from 1975-2001. John served in several law organizations, including the Real Estate Law Section of the Houston Bar Association, where he was chairman from 1985-86. He received the Presidents' Award in 1986. He was a charter member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, where he served as president from 1990-91. He received the Fred Lane Award from the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. John M. Roberts '67 passed away on December 12, 2023. John studied journalism in college and enlisted in the Air Force in 1968 during the Vietnam War. He left in 1972 and began a career at the Victoria Advocate newspaper, leading the newspaper to multiple awards. He stepped down as publisher in 2011 and as chairman of the board in 2020. John also held leadership roles in the Texas Daily Newspaper Association and received the Pat Taggart Award as Texas Newspaper Leader of the Year for 1989. He was proud to serve his community in many ways and was the captain of the Texas team of the annual Texas vs. Georgia bocce tournament he established. John loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf. Robert S. Molina '70 passed away on April 2, 2023. After college, he completed a JD degree from Southern Methodist University. He had a legal career predominately in domestic and international oil and gas law. He served as the general counsel to the Oman Oil Company; vice president, general counsel, and secretary for Benton Oil and Gas Company; vice president and general counsel for Vastar Resources Inc.; chief counsel for ARCO Latin America; and general attorney for ARCO Oil and Gas Company. In December 2005, Texas Governor Perry appointed Steve to the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission. Steve and his wife, Susan, had three children. He loved traveling with Susan, hunting with his kids, teaching college students, reading, and watching Texas Ranger baseball and UT sports. William L. Neal '70 passed away on June 14, 2023. Bill enjoyed a wonderful marriage to Paula Perritt for 46 years. He had a successful career in manufacturing, real estate, and as an auctioneer. In the late '70s, he, Paula, and Paula's brother, Tom, owned Rainbow Plastics Mfg. Bill loved his family, friends, pets, live music, and collecting classic cars. John W.
