E
arlier this year, four couples with ties to Nebraska Chapter traveled to
Italy together for a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. The trip was wonderful
as they enjoyed the sights, the food, and the time together. But what made
it special was the relationships that dated back to the late 1980s and the
brotherhood that was celebrated that week.
Valerie and Ryan Downs '88, Nicole and Bret Sheffield '88, and Heidi and
Marshall Hansen '88 were a part of the group. Also included were Monty
and Kara Roloff Habrock. Kara was a Nebraska Chapter Little Sister during
the same generation.
These brothers, along with several others from their class, have been able to
maintain a close relationship for over 30-plus years by scheduling a variety
of activities together, including fishing, boating, football games, and now an
international couples' trip. Times like this have kept the friendships strong
and helped them grow over the years. It's amazing to know we all have
brothers in our corner who will be there for each other in good times and in
bad. These relationships help us celebrate special occasions and get through
the tough times life brings our way.
What a great way to celebrate our brotherhood and keep these relationships alive!
