He exercises six days a week and is a big believer in prayer. Bill is a student of eschatology. In his work life, he was in sales and a consultant for leadership development. Daniel Land '57, ΔΔ678 has lived in Jackson Hole, Wyo., for about 25 years and, "As I am approaching 89, I'm in reasonably decent shape!" He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 36 years of service, much of it in the field sales organization, and as general manager of customer service. Currently active in the episcopal church, Daniel is singing in the choir. Richard Hobbs '63, ΔΔ783 shared his many career accolades from a master's degree to real estate investment and managing two H&R Block offices. Richard has four children, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He has lived and traveled in 49 states and to 40 countries so far. Raymond Rod '62, ΔΔ791 recently moved into a continuing care community by Erickson called Highland Springs in Plano, Texas. Russell Wright '67, ΔΔ859 moved back to Michigan with Elaine after 20 years in the mountains of New Mexico. They traded 80 acres, horses, dogs, and cats for a 1938 1,600-square- foot home within walking distance of shops. They loved NM but are glad to be near their son. Johnston, ΔΔ634, 91, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024, at his home in Mt. Laurel, N.J. Brother Johnston was a 1954 alumnus of Penn State University. Brother Johnston earned his Bachelor of Arts degree and was a proud brother of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, a tradition his grandson Michael Delo, ΔΔ1394, would later follow. His commitment to education and fraternity life spoke to the leadership and friendships that would characterize his later pursuits. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Box 364, Marlton, NJ 08053. Brother Robert E. Donohue, ΔΔ672, baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection on Saturday, February 24, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Genevieve "Jeni" Donohue (née Baker). Bob was born in Pottsville, Pa., on December 31, 1934. He graduated from Penn State University in 1956 and moved to St. Louis as an employee of the U.S. Steel Corporation. In 1960, he joined friends to start Mid-America Steel Company, a specialty steel distributorship. He became president and sole owner in 1968 and went on to establish a location in Tulsa, Okla., and a machining operation, Precision Tool Company, in St. Louis. Brother Donohue and his wife enjoyed traveling, whether on land or on cruises. They wanted to see as much of the beautiful world as they could, and he enjoyed being involved in charity work. John Sheldon Chatham, ΔΔ728, of Princeton and Stone Harbor, N.J., passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Born on December 24, 1934, and raised in Haverford Township, Pa., Brother Chatham graduated from Haverford High School and Pennsylvania State University where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and the Army ROTC. He served in the U.S. Army for five years and rose to the rank of captain. Immediately following the military, John joined Ethicon Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company, where he spent his entire career of 38 years. After retiring in 2002, he volunteered his time working with Habitat for Humanity, serving as president of the Trenton area organization. David Jule Packo, ΔΔ847, 78, of Lindenhurst, Ill., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, Ill. He was born February 27, 1944, in Union City, Pa. On May 8, 1965, David married Carol Lee Brady in State College, Pa. He loved the mountains and taking his Jeep off-roading. He courageously battled and fought cancer his entire adult life. Brother David J. Maxwell, ΔΔ955, of Augusta, Ga., born in Pittsburgh, Pa., passed away on May 19, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. If so desired, memorials may be made to Wesley Music Ministry.
