DELTA DELTA 3 ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT HOMECOMING 2024 FROM THE PAST – THON 2001 ANNUAL ALUMNI MEETING 2024 REGIONAL EVENTS COMING TO A LOCATION NEAR YOU ANNUAL ALUMNI REPORT T he joint annual meeting of the Property Association and Alumni Chapter, required by our bylaws, will be held by telephone conference and Zoom beginning at 7 p.m. EDT on October 20. Agenda topics include officer and director elections (see the listing on our website using the alumni tab), financial status, plans for the year, and a brief report by Brother Nelson. A meeting report will prepared and distributed. T he April 2001 Delta Delta reported: "We recently received the Three Diamonds Award which is presented to organizations who raise $10,000-$24,999 for Thon … Sigma Nu and its Thon partner sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, raised a grand total of $13,186 this year." A ndy Hackett, ∆∆1361 works professionally as the Director, Project Management at WCG (wcgclinical.com), specializing in electronic clinical outcome assessments (eCOA). WCG partners with research pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organizations, clinical sites, and study participants in navigating the clinical research journey. Having worked in clinical project management for nearly 20 years, Brother Hackett's deep experience in collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and structuring operational frameworks has helped him and his teams achieve success in bringing medical treatments to market. In addition, he owns Hackett Hobby Farm, where he and his partner raise poultry, specialty livestock, and vegetables for their local region. He is also a three-time Ironman finisher. Brother Hackett was Delta Delta Eminent Commander from 2001-03 among other collegiate roles. He has a bachelor's of science degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Penn State and an MBA from UNC Chapel Hill. He lives in southern New Hampshire. T he General Fraternity (aka National) has generated a listing of Delta Delta alumni by 60+ different "metro pockets." Using this listing, we hope to organize regional alumni get-togethers to enhance alumni engagement. Watch for details via mail and/or email. T he annual Homecoming game will be September 28 against Illinois. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. or later. Brother Nelson will host a BYOB tailgate at his reserved space (#9432) in lot 31, beginning approximately four hours before kickoff. His space is about 50 yards east of Medlar Field along the third base line, as extended. He'll have a white EZ Up canopy and fly a PSU logo flag over a VA Tech flag. All are invited to join him.
