VALPO: A CHANGING ENVIRONMENT
Recent Fraternity Housing Projects
Our facility is well beyond its life expectancy and not representative of the high-performing chapter that occupies it.
In our new home, the chapter will be able to hold more events with the university and community.
The bottom line: Indiana Zeta must catch up, or we will lose our standing as the preeminent fraternity at Valparaiso
and one of the best SigEp chapters in the nation.
I
f you have been to Valpo recently, you know that a lot has
changed downtown and on campus. The way students live and
learn today is far different from our experiences from as early
as just 10 years ago. With those changes, the competition for
students and their housing dollars has increased.
In the past decade, housing options for Valpo students have
changed dramatically. Our competing fraternities have made
significant improvements to their houses. Plans are underway to
renovate several of the dormitories to entice students to live on
campus, and off-campus apartments are tuned in to what modern
students want: hotel-like amenities, proximity to campus, and
flexible lease terms.
